    Pictured here is a rescued King James Socks sign that was nearly lost forever. I was exploring a basement of an old building that was scheduled to be torn down. I happened to notice the red coloring around the word "SOCKS" in the dirt. King James socks was a brand used in the mid 20th century.

    I've posted a picture of this same style sign in much better condition. I still like mine because of the circumstances of how I found it. The building was gone within a couple of weeks & my sign would have been gone forever.
