This Lambrecht butter tub was my wife's grandmother's, who lived in Milwaukee. Somehow my wife ended up with it, and we came across it in a cupboard today. It's stoneware, 5 1/2 x 3 inches. It looks like you'd get your butter delivered in it, pay a 12-cent deposit on the tub, and get the coins back when it was returned. Or, more likely, you'd just exchange it for another tub of butter. The USA mark on the bottom is easy to read, but the other is not as clear to me. Anyone have recollections of one of these?
You have one of the better ones. The Deposit ones are collectible (and not worthless like most of the other ones, LOL).
