This has been with me for at least 35 years, given to me by a friend who is no longer with us, who was a great person! A Moeris p.w. from the second WW , working really nice! GSTP = General Serve Temp. Pattern . I've seen some on Ebay for as much as 1,000. USD ... and some less, for around 300 . Such a big difference in price. I'm wondering if this could be solid silver? First the arrow is stamped on the back, second G. S. T. P. , then the serial number. It is a wind up , and ticks quite loud considering, but it's very accurate! My son commented yesterday that there's something ticking close by and was wondering where. I showed him the time piece in my pocket. Any new info on this would be appreciated.
Looks like nickel, not silver, and people can ask whatever they want-- doesn't mean they'll ever get the price. Check e-Bay Sold Listings by clicking Advanced Search in the upper right. Sold is green-priced items. Has to be near identical item/condition to assume the price.
Nice gift.
Strange, but that appears to be a Brit. broad arrow mark on the back.
Yes it's an arrow .... what does that signify??
In your pic, it looks just like the sign meaning made for or belonging to the Limey gov't. . Maybe a gov't. issue.
It is a military WWII pocket watch issued by Gov't for sure ... I didn't know that was a sign signifying that! Thanks, but it landed here in Montreal!
