This is a 1920's clear bottle. I had one and sold it on Ebay for 75.00
Thanks a lot! I have tried to find one on ebay but no luck!
Actually it is pre 1916 and did contain coke at one time. These straight sided bottles carried a paper label which washed easily in the tub of ice where they were kept, thus coca-cola company (actually the Terre Haute Indiana bottler, came up with the "hobbleskirt" bottle in 1916. Soon all the frascnchise bottlers began using the new package.
earlycoke do you have any info on the other bottle i have on? the one with Daytona?
I have a green bottle marked "TIP TOP" "PALE DRY" "7 OUNCES" "PROPERTY OF THE COCA COLA BOTTLING CO"
On the bottom it is marked "PALATKA" "FLA." "7 I (in a circle) 59"
Pale Dry indicates it was GINGER ALE I think.
Can't seem to find out anything else about the time frame in production, etc.
I have a green 7oz bottle of Tip Top Pale Dry , the bottle says property of Coca Cola Bottling Co, the bottom has Palatka Fla ,7 I 6 0 I can not find ANY information on this bottle at ALL!! its driving me crazy, can ANYONE help???
