old JEEP OIL safety can

I honestly don't even remember where or when I got this thing, nonetheless it's been hanging around for the last probably 2oyrs at least. 3-gallon safety can with the remains of a coat of red paint and the legend "JEEP OIL" on either side. Diameter of the can is about 11-1/2". Maker's stamp on center of its bottom reads "J. D. POLLS MFG. CO. CHICAGO, ILL.
