    I'm not sure what animal this is made from - alligator? turtle? but it is leather and signed on the back with 'El General'. it's a belt buckle i found at my favorite second-hand store yesterday.

      This is one of hundreds of items made to sell to his fan club and followers. You will find them mostly for sale in Europe.

      It certainly looks rather like a turtle, but they are not known for their leather. Does not really look like any natural hide I can think of. Since fhrhr2 knows them to be mass produced, expect it is like most exotic looking leather one sees outside the highest end luggage stores: cow hide impressed with this pattern.
