Today I show you my latest Rare special gain in the Cicada family. This new Cidada family member brooch has translucent enamel wings in Plique-à-Jour in green and purple. Condition is quite good after some small tears after (see pictures). The bottom of one of the wings is missing a piece and some are somewhat damaged. However it is so small that it is not visible to the naked eye. The cicadas body is not made of silver but some silver-colored metal. The wings, legs and lock are of silver. Measure: 1.6" (4.2 x 1.5 cm.). Rance, approx 1920.
