    My Grandmother acquired this (10 inch tall vase) and other asian china pieces in the 1950s she was told they were "Chinese Antiques" in the 1950s. Now there is debate on the authenticity of these items as "Antique" at that time.. I know very little about what I have (I just like it) I believe this originated in Japan not china
    If any one can tell me anything about this vase that would be much appreciated.

      it looks like Satsuma earthenware from Japan, but the mark is very odd and the quality seems poor. sorry to give you bad news.

      I am currently researching 2 very similar vases from Japan. Some coloring and poor detailing. I have seem other similar pieces. I will let you know when I can pinpoint it to the era, and perhaps region.
