Rebel toy soldier - made of lead?

I'm wondering if anyone can tell me anything about this toy soldier. I believe it's a Civil War rebel soldier made of lead. It looks like he's holding a pistol (?) in his right hand and a sword (blade broken off) in his raised left hand. I am not sure of any of this, so I would really appreciate any info anyone can share with me, or direct me where to go to find the formation. Thank you.
