Strange looking glass Dragonfly - Paperweight maybe?

I know absolutely nothing about this dragonfly (age, where it came from, how it was made etc.). I would appreciate any information that you may have.
Today, I got it at local Thrift store. I thought it looked interesting.
The body of the glass dragonfly looks solid, I think hand-blown.
On the bottom of the body there are three spots that were ground down so the dragonfly can rest on a flat surface.
The wings were attached to the body while the body was hot or heated.
The body is 5” long and the wing span of the large wings is 6.5”. The weight is 8 ounces.
