This is from my Grandparents estate, I would like to know about this clock and what it is worth. I do have the original key for it. It does not work. Thank you.

It's a Seth Thomas "Adamantine" (celluloid plastic veneer and columns) mantel clock, most likely the "Shasta" model. The Adamantine veneer is simulated rosewood.
I could be mistaken but I think that this is a "Sucile", not a "Shasta". I say that because the Adamantine looks like simulated Mahogany. According to Ly, the Shasta, which is essentially the exact same case, came in a golden bronze adamantine finish. In any case, these models are circa 1904- 1913. In 2004, they were both valued at $400 in original, mint condition. They usually sell for somewhere between $200 - $400 dollars on Ebay auction listings. The lower end for "As Is"; upper end for clean, near mint examples in good running order. They can be found on pages 471 and 473 of Tran Duy Ly's "Seth Thomas Clocks & Movements" Third Edition - Volume 1. Regards.
