i purchased this plate off of ebay. i've been wanting one of these Japanese plates for awhile, but they are usually beyond my price range. in the first set of pictures - what i thought i was bidding on, shows a plate w/ no cracks or repairs, but i just noticed that they had another set of photos below which do clearly show the crack and repair. ??? i'd love to do a real kintsugi repair on it, but it seems a lot more complicated than i would have thought.

I've used a kintsugi kit on broken mugs and plates before, but I'm not sure I would use it on something so old (I'd be worried it would damage the clay and destroy its integrity/value). But for future reference: https://www.trouva.com/boutique/barbican-shop-in-ec2y8ds/new-kintsugi-repair-kit
