This Victorian glass basket is made from three layers of cased glass - clear over pink & green spatter, with a white interior. It measures 16.5 cm tall including the handle, 14 cm across the crimped top rim, & 5.5 cm across the base. The basket has a moulded pattern of ribbing & stylised daisy type designs contained in circles, as well as a clear, applied twisted thorn handle. Bohemian for sure, & I am thinking Welz.
I'm thinking you are right. The ribbed daisy appears on other Welz shapes. The basket shape overall also comes in the blue/green Welz honeycomb décor. This décor is very pretty and good to see a décor new to me!
Yes, I've seen that daisy on some pink striped Welz items. Gotta love that pink & green, it's always good!
