This desk belongs to a friend of mine who's Mother passed away recently.
Handed down to him was this desk. Two doors, cameos on each door. There is a dresser also with a mirror. He was told the only other like it was in the white house. Seems far fetched I know. Well his Mom was very affluent in Knoxville Tennessee, high schools, churches, etc. named after hcr. Another strange fact George Washington's wife lived a few buggy trips away in Dandridge Tennessee. Could this be a true story? She had all kinds of furniture shipped from all over the country from where she visited. Very private and proud man I didn't snoop and look under the desk and managed to get only one pic!

They are not cameos but called porcelain plaques. Cannot imagine this in the white house as the plaques look rather new and poor in execution !
