    Picked up yesterday for free at the local r.c
    A lovely little pot with fish & seaweed pattern ..
    The base is marked
    Shicali
    EL SALVADOR
    .CA.
    I think it's a sugar or jam pot as it's got a slot in the lid for a spoon .
    From what I read on the web - it would have been possibly made by disadvantaged people with good skills ..
    It's very well made and I love the colours & pattern ..

      Looks very similar to the Solimene pottery from Italy. Their older pieces had the exact same colors
