Interesting Necklace, Thrift Shop Find

I bought this today and might have paid a bit too much - 5 bucks - but nonetheless found the necklace to be interesting. The rope on the front needs to be whitened. I cleaned the metal and glass bits so it looks presentable. No marks and nothing found on the net resembling this necklace. Spring clasp, so can be any time before 1990. The metal looks to be copper. No name found on it. The white beads are bone.
Will this get worn? Yes indeedie!
