I adore Victorian jewellery and this necklace ticks all my boxes. The Gold is marked for 15 ct which was very popular during the Victorian era. Both the Amethysts are a wonderful purple colour and the seed pearls set off them Amethysts beautifully. I would think that this necklace is a later Victorian piece probably 1890s, the barrel clasp is also typical of this period. I hope you enjoy this piece as much as myself.
