    Condition/Details: Bound in gray cloth with bright gilt embossing, this antique volume is a scarce author-signed volume from Marcus B. Toney, a Company B. Confederate Veterans, First Regiment State Guards, Tennessee, during the Civil War. The author signed the work on the front free endpaper. The work is illustrated with photographic plates throughout, including a frontispiece portrait. The volume shows some external age/wear, with rubbing and moisture indications to the boards. The text block is solidly bound with clean, lightly age-toned pages. The book measures approximately 5.25" x 7.75" and contains 158 pages.
