Another Route 66 find from an antique store on Route 66 in Oro Grande, California. That is about 30 miles south of Barstow near Victorville. Best stretch of Route 66 in California.
Anyway the only marking on this is "No. 20" and generally believed to be Brookfield. The style on this is called CD 133. I believe this would be for a telegraph line. Supposedly this is a common style but I don't find them ever around here especially in green.
As for dating Hemingray made this style from the 1870s - 1910s. So although it is not Hemingray somewhere around there let us say circa 1900.

Thank you very much swampdogg. I saw a really nice purple one at an antique mall and it was $35. It may have been worth it but I passed it up.

Most of the purple ones are 1890s-1910s and turn light purple over a period of years due to sun exposure as they have manganese in the glass, which reacts with UVC radiation.
Albeit many insulator enthusiasts say there were purple insulators made, in America I do not think this is the case. I think all the deep purple ones were artificially irradiated in the last 30 years, or were dyed purple, then some 'expert' in the field began irradiating and selling them as originals to make money.
The one in the back left is most likely pinkish purple from natural radiation.
      Nice find.

Thank you very much SpiritBear. I will use caution with the purple ones.
