Thank you Lisa
1- Sorry for your loss never easy ;(
2 - Welcome to CW hang around ;}
3 - Not a clue but someone will likely know ;)
Was your grandmother Catholic? "Deus et Patria" is the motto of the Legion of Mary and the religious design of this set makes me think this may have been some sort of presentation piece from them.
The crown is very distinctive, unlike all circular crowns it looks like Imperial Crown of the Holy Roman Empire and German State Crown.
Will keep searching.
Is there an inscription on the box ?
It is an Italian medal, ORDINE MILITARE DI SAN GIORGIO DI CARINZIA

Fantasy order.
‚‚Antico ordine del Sacro Romano Impero‚‚
‚‚Ancient Order of Holly Roman Empire‚‚ (The crown)
"Sovereign Military Hospitaller Order of Saint George of Carinthia. A 1950's revival of an ancient chivalric Order long extinct, this found a willing head in the person of the Archduke Franz Josef of Austria-Tuscany, sometime "Carlist" claimant to the Spanish throne who for a while distributed his own "Order of the Golden Fleece". Along with an Italian Marquess, this body was directed by a former officer in Mussolini's elite "black brigade", but after numerous court actions it seems to have become dormant."
Bravo Yvan! I couldn't find what you got :-)
Solved!
