Does anyone know the name or style of this? I am assuming it's an authentic Gucci bag. It has a very interesting shoulder strap.

I just can't tell. I'm novice :)
Gucci Handbags...first thing you may want to do is pull the zipper back and forth. They won't stick, you don't have to tug...it goes back and forth smoothly like butter. Also on all tabs zipper pulls the logo will be there. Most not all, will have a number which is a date stamp and identifies them for you. Mind you, there are many good fakes out there so you have to know what you're doing before you get taken with the handbags. For instance and easy to remember...On a Louis Vuitton monogram, the LV will by no means be cut off (under a seam) there will be no glue, the stitches will all be the same length, they all have a number somewhere AND Louis Vuitton never goes on sale. You could buy a pre-owned one but you need to be sure it's authentic before you spend that kind of money...
Study them at a department store, not so much an outlet but the actual department store. You will get to also know them just by touch. Hope that helps ;)
First i'd like to say that this bag is 1000% authentic. secondly i'd like to say that almost everything in the previous comment is false. zippers on vintage gucci bags get stuck very often especially if they have begun to rust if they are metal, all zipper pulls do not have tabs with the gucci logo on them only selected ones do. and most bags do not have serial numbers... anything before the 80's most likely won't have a serial number with the exception of a few. i am a vintage gucci expert and i own a vintage gucci company who works with gucci
oh and its a 70's bag
