From St-Jean-Port-Joly in Quebec. The Caron family have been carvers for generations. I feel an affinity to this man more because o fthe snowshoes than the rifle . I can feel the long walk home, but maybe its the long walk out in search of game? Either way.12 inches tall.

absolutely does fall under folk art! this is cool. my dad has some caron carvings too. my family is quebecois, but i'm 3rd gen american.
