This is my only piece of this brand of glass. I have seen Dom Crown around on rare occasions, and I really know nothing about it. Whether it was a manufacturer or an exporter I don't know, although the work in this vase is unlike other Japanese glass I know.
It's a great colour overall, with that jade green ground and black edged yellow spatter. It is very thin walled with a very slight clear case.
Blow moulded and a flame finished rim.
I don't think it's newer than the 70s looking at the box and wood shavings packing material.
Any info on this maker gratefully accepted folks!

lovely colours & bold strong shape most excellent Karen
Oooooh, Karen, one magnificent piece of glass! I love spatter with dark lines around it and this is particularly attractive in that the size of spatter varies greatly.
Ooh snap. Love the colours & spatter effect on this one.
Thanks Malkey, the colours work well. Glad you like it!
Peggy and Fran - this is my favourite spatter vase from Japan to date, for the very reasons you have stated. I think the colours and contrast are great.
I'm glad you both appreciate it too; good news from the Brits!!
Such cheerful colours. Reminds me very much of a similar Welz decor!

Ah, I love, love this Karen. The colors are really great and would look amazing with yellow roses in it!!!
Thanks Wow, some definite similarity there. Good is good, no matter who makes it!
Yellow roses now on the shopping list. I love it when peeps suggest things I would never think of. Thanks Sue!!
