Original Woodstock Music and Art Fair button 1 1/4 diameter, (I think)
These days you can find maybe 5 different button's that claim to be from Woodstock sadly very few are authentic with most from the 1980s or even later, As far as I know this was the only one used for Woodstock (one) in 1969 however it is very close to one made for the 1970 movie, I have yet to find real good reliable information on either button.
This example I would say is in very good to great condition it has a few small spots and some minor fading of the blue or maybe this is just as made either way I rarely call a button mint or even near mint.
The person I bought this from claimed to have got this at the festival and said he would send a L.O.A. along with the button but I did not receive it and he didn't reply to my later request that put the whole story in question to me, Still the button looks right front and back so I think it is the real deal.
( I like a pure black background and painted this one black that just looks funky so I will likely re-scan this after dark)
I had this in Pins & Badges Category, Hard Rock pins Sub-Category but showed Hard Rock Cafe pins and that it's not ego it goes
Thanks Thomas been waiting for this one forever in good enough condition @ a fair price, SO many fakes out there, Thanks for the comment Thomas and the Love(s)

Much appreciated always.
That's very cool. I know I had a pin (Batman) from the 60's and it had a date on the very edge along with some other writing, can't remember what it was. Then later I came across another and it had no writing but it was the old logo. Wonder if it was fake. Scammers leave nothing alone, do they?!!!
No they don't one seller on ebay sells 95% fake but lists them as Vintage WWII and Vietnam button's, The Gov. passed a law about clearly marking a reproduction as such (for pinbacks any how) but that didn't stop them.
I will post the Batman button I have, if i recall it reads 1966 on the curl / edge.

You know, I like Woodstock items and I have seen the purple ones always claiming to be from the festival, I haven't bought one - because there seem to be way too many out there to be authentic. From your research, this is the one I should look for? I know not many - if any - souvenirs were produced for the actual festival, but this is from 1969? I am always trying to learn - thanks.
This I believe to be the only one from the festival I don't know how many were made, You can find it about anytime but either at a price or in poor condition for $25 to $40 but in time one will turn up that's good for less (this one did)
If I recall the purple one showed up in the early 80s or so and yeah when you can buy one any day of the week for $5 somethings wrong that said I have seen this one sell for $5 before so it can happen but really bums out the seller ;{
I am always trying to learn also and always happy to help if I can.
