I have had this chair for a long time and have always wondered about it's history, value etc. My ex Sister in Law gave it to me 15 years ago and it was given to her by her Mother in Law who was an antique dealer prior to passing away. I googled it and could not find anything like it. I believe it is called a Billiard Spectator Chair but I am not sure. If anyone has any ideas on what kind of chair it is and possibly the age I would love to know. I have moved several times in the past 15 years and I always make room for this chair because I think it is super cool.

Never heard of a billiard spectator chair, whoever called it that is off his rocker. Normally it is called a tub chair, due to shape. The legs are longer than usual ? and I wonder how long they are from the bottom of the seat down.

I think you're right about the billiard chair: somewhere to perch while you ponder your fate as your opponent pots some brilliant shots during an overly long break.
