Would you believe that for most of my 26 years of life, I've been utterly terrified of dolls? I picked up "Elenor" as I call her, at an antique store a few weeks ago. Something about her just made me instantly fall in love with her and since then I've been on a quest to figure out her origins. As far as I can tell with my research and limited doll knowledge, she's a composition doll maybe from the 20's or 30's? She has no marking other than a small hole in the bottom of each foot and I have no idea if the clothing is original or not. All I can say is that she's old and I love her!
Would be near impossible to determine maker with no markings , She is a USA made doll and is in original clothes . Dates 1930-40's more likely 40's. She apparently made you fall for her and glad you saved her as she has so much crazing and paint loss , she will look nice on display . She is made of composition and apparently was not stored in a good place where it was damp .
