It is still Monday here so another Matchbox car for matchbox Monday. This one is the D.A.F. Girder Truck. What D.A.F. is I do not know. I will have my staff look it up later.
This car was introduced in 1968 and is in the E Style box. This is important as another site I look up to check the box dates claims the F style box was the box being used in 1968. I had always thought the F box was first released in 1969 but I have been going by what I saw on that site. I am sure everyone is quite excited by this information.
An fun feature for this vehicle is that it came with 12 girders that could be linked together to make a building under construction.
Special thanks to the Iron Fairy Cane for its assistance in this post.
Efesgirl should know! Maybe not. Who owns them now? Volvo?
LOL! DAF made great little cars! I still see them on the roads.

Karen - yes, now owned by Volvo. Volvo cars are made just up the road from me, at NedCar in Born.

Thank you very much racer4four. Apparently she does.
Thank you very much Efesgirl. Those are cute little cars. I see a lot of Volvo trucks and heavy equipment around here.

Just like the one in my matchbox case, but in much better shape ... I must have visited more construction sites with mine! Thanks for posting and reminding me of those memories.
Thank you very much neat.old.stuff. I think this one was old store stock and was never played with.
Thank you SEAN68.
