This Victorian vase is made from Queen's Burmese glass - a single layer of opaque glass shading from pale, custard yellow to pale salmon pink that contains uranium & heat reactive gold. It glows brightly under UV light. The vase measures 9.8 cm tall, 7 cm across the crimped top rim, & 4 cm across the base, which has a polished out pontil mark. Made by Thomas Webb & Sons of Stourbridge, England.

Many thanks, sklo42, yes, it is the palest example of Burmese I have - it's one of those glass colours that can vary quite a bit. More examples to follow over this week!
