This Victorian vase is made from Queen's Burmese glass in custard yellow shading to salmon pink, with a satin finish. The vase contains uranium, & glows brightly under UV light. It measures 10 cm tall, 7 cm across the double crimped top rim, & 7 cm across the applied crimped footed base, which has a small pontil mark. The distinctive shape is characteristic of items made by Thomas Webb & Sons of Stourbridge, England.

Proper Burmese glass, wonderful. I see people giving that name to all sorts of glass that even I know is wrong.

Yes, it's the real deal...& there certainly are some dubious attributions about. Lots more Burmese to follow soon!

Hi IronLace, these are wonderful. I'm quite envious, Burmese and Peloton are two types of glass I would love to get my hands on one day.
