O.K. I've done all the talking (writing), but I give a hint as there's no name or number on it. It's a front engine dragster which dates it and it has a Chevrolet engine. It's a west coast dragster that held two notable records and it's number had three digits ending with Jr.
There was also a man named Harry that ran one of the tracks that he frequented, that made the remark: Yes: the owner had an incredible way
of making cars go fast while not spending much.

Good Luck and I may learn from this also!

I can't help you with whose car that is but it looks like the photo was taken at the Arboretum in Arcadia. The Fantasy Island house was right across the lagoon. The lagoon being used also for Tarzan movies.

Why don’t you send it to the NHRA museum and ask for help or Garlits museum near Ocala Florida. Someone may recognize the name on the car. It’s old time because those slicks look like 60s version tires and that rail would spin those things up into smoke for entire quarter miles.
