Antique Oval Frame with Bubble Glass and Baby Photograph

I just love this photo and frame. I am told it is my father-in-law. The glass is a convex piece in excellent condition. I believe the frame is a painted wood. Does anyone know how I could clean it? I don't want to ruin anything. I tried to get the pics not sideways.
