This pair of Victorian glass vases are made from Queen's Burmese glass, shading from pale, custard yellow to salmon pink. The vases glow brightly under UV light, & measure 8.5 cm tall, 6 cm across the rolled in top rims, & 2.5 cm across the bases, which have polished out pontil marks. They also feature hand painted decoration of forget - me - not flowers (blue on one vase, white on the other) & bows. Made by Thomas Webb & Sons of Stourbridge, England. They were one of my best ever op shop (thrift store) finds, at $4 each from the Salvos. No, they weren't in the display cabinets with all the high priced "collectables", but rubbing shoulders with random odds & ends on what I like to call the "crap shelves." :-)
Lovely and such a bargain! I like how the tops are folded inward.
