Here's one I found years ago at a junk store for a buck or two. Totally guessing it was once part of a set (if not an entire labful) of similar glass somewhere, also guessing 1940's or earlier, since much of anytime after that people probably (hopefully?) treated actual ether slightly more carefully. (isn't ether kinda "explosive"...?!!) No doubt the bottle once had a glass stopper of some sort too.
It is about 6-3/4" tall and 3" across. The legend is raised and frosted and reads "ETHER (C2H5)2O" in letters about half an inch tall. On the bottom its mfr's info is "WHEATON NO-SOL-VIT 3 U.S.A." Sorry the pics aren't better, the glass the bottle is made of isn't perfectly uniform thus it is difficult to photograph.
All sounds correct. Wheaton is the most well-known manufacturer of them.
