This little 'electric nifty' found last weekend at my favorite thrift store for a couple bucks, straight from grandma's house. (and it still *smells* like grandma's house?!) It is a WESTCLOX 24hr SWITCH TIMER model S35-A rated for 15A/1800w. It is in exceptionally clean condition including its original hang-tag with operating instructions still attached to its power cord by a string. On its backside (not pictured) is a 2-prong electrical outlet that one would plug the 'controllee device' into, and a small lever to choose from "off-auto-on" operation mode. It is probably from the 1960's-70's, when a simple living room lamp timer could still be considered a "home security" device... <sigh> I have only tested it briefly and it seems like it might want to be taken apart for the addition of a drop or two of oil, I haven't went there yet.
