    barbedwire…
    (25 items)

Okay fellow wire nuts. I need a hand with this one.
It has a barb similar to a Brotherton. The points are blunt and short.
The wires reverse in between the barbs and wires are tight, not like a wood block rotted out or something. Anybody have any ideas???

I would say it came from an ornamental wire fence. I have had (may still have) a section. I'll dig around and see if I can find it. Just a guess.

Could be a place where someone tightened the wire while it was on the posts, like the Brinkerhoff tightener. Again, just a guess.

Gotwire, It may be an ornamental... The points are blunt and short so that would make sense. The piece I have is about 2 feet long and it reverse twists between each set of barbs which leads me to believe it was made that way.

With the reverse line wire twisted as shown, it appears to be from an ornamental fence, the top line. Blunt points indicate the age and wear with the original attached lines eroded away. We'd go along with the call by gotwire.

A special wire for making wire canes to compete with Haish?
