I saw this piece and instantly fell in love with it. This was another resale find. It looks extremely old, and hoping it isn't just made to look that way. It is 13.75" tall, 4.5" diameter at the base and at it's widest point has a circumference of 23". It appears to be about .5" thick, based on the thickness at the opening. It is quite heavy, weighing in at 6.4 lbs. It looks like green and red colors were used to decorate it. I tested a few areas with a q-tip and nail polish remover and the q-tip remained clean. Applying a small amount of water to a small area that has a chip, the water was absorbed immediately. I believe that would indicate that the piece was slow fired.
Other than that, I don't know anything else about it. Any comments are welcome.
