Not much known about this game. My understanding is it was made in Canada before the Munro versions came out. The version shown is incomplete as there is no puck.

Hi, this is interesting as 1932-33 was the first year Munro hockey games were sold through Baton's Department stores in Toronto Ontario which had a hump in the middle and a plain wood surface. Your game shows a flat surface typical of the 1950's era, that looks like ice which Eagle toys introduced in the 1950's along with the metal rods. Sweden was also producing hockey games in the 1930's and they may have preceded the Munro games. Eagle got the metal rod idea from Sweden
You still have a great game and if those are the instructions in the photo do you have the company name? Can you add more photos this will be helpful to help solve your mystery.
Thanks for responding. Since I posted this I've learned a bit more. Based on another listing the year is stated as 1942. I have no idea how accurate that is. Or is it from the 50's as stated in roddyq reply. Thanks for that roddyq. On the bottom of the board are 4 holes for where the posts would have been inserted to allow the users to slide the magnets under the board. I'll load more pics when I get on my pc.
Always good to learn more about the older hockey games Mondavino. I have had a few of the the Munro and Eagle hockey games over the years and even though Eagle is credited as the company to put the ice effect on their 1950's games it is quite possible the game you have is from the 40's and could have preceded Eagle and used the ice effect. When you add more photos of the box and instructions this will help. The players do look to be vintage.
Unfortunately there is nothing more to add. No instructions. No other detail. Came w 2 forwards and two goalies. One per hand to handle the magnet underneath.
