A very curious 1960s Motorcycle Jacket "BOLO for PEACE". Rider was named BIGFOOT. I acquired this gem from an Australian who said it was from California where it was painted back in the day. Even the faded "BOLO for PEACE" had me wondering, what the hell is a bolo? I had bolo ties in the 1950s and 1960s - but that doesn't make any sense, my parochial school had no motorcycles. So I looked bolo up in the urban slang dictionary and found it could mean a drunken Mexican, in military slang "A screw-up" or a Gigantic Chinese man who can mash all opposition with ease. OK, you tell me...
You always post the most awesome from the Hippie era . How do you ever find so many great pieces ?
Bigfoot was my larger drunken Chinese cousin. Peace.
