I just purchased this because I was born in Holland and my parents used to have this print. I know the original is in the Rijksmuseum in Amsterdam, so what is this? It appears to be painted, and it looks very old. No signature is visible. What do I have here?!!

Wood staple gun was used on the frame and the tag. Is canvas fixed the same way ?
Staple gun is modern invention. If it`s really hand painted you have a nice reproduction, extremely well done. But inspect it again, prints can imitate oil paintings.

As you said, the original is in Amsterdam

As Ivan said, stapled repro, embellished with brush strokes effect :-)

I believe it is a much copied oil that was made into a lot of prints, but cannot verify what you have. I have the print on a cedar box which my parents had since before they married in the earlier 50's.
