Here's some more from the kitchen cabinets. ;-) I've had the stack of 6 small (6-3/4") dark red banded plates for several years (from a thrift store IIRC) but just recently found the stack of 3 (9") blue-green banded ones at another thrift store. They are made of opaque white PYREX glass and probably aren't too terribly old but I still think they're cool. (and neither color clashes with my 1950's pastel yellow kitchen counter tile!) For some reason I just can't help but to think of a 'greasy spoon' type diner whenever I use 'em. <lol>
Each has a contemporary (I think?) PYREX logo molded into its bottom, reading "PYREX (R) BRAND Tableware by CORNING MADE IN U.S.A." with a catalog number, 703-8 on the blue ones and 704-17 on the red ones.
