I inherited these dolls from my grandma, they belonged to her mother and grandmother. My grandmother was born in 1910 and her grandmother was born in 1851, so I'm assuming they are from that time range. I believe the china doll is the oldest. The blonde in the fancy dress is 7" tall, her arms and head are pose able but legs don't bend. the brunette has a stuffed body with jointed arms and legs that pose and sleepy eyes that open and close, she is 14" tall. the china doll is 28" tall. I can't find any marks on them and I really want to know more about them, if anyone can help me identify them I would really appreciate it.
Your China Doll #3 is often called Dolly Madison style .
She dates from 1870 . Does she have original cloth body still ? She is wonderful .

The 2nd doll is paper mache or composition face with a composition body depending on material used which from photo I believe is paper mache she would be from around same time period . Looks like her eyes have fallen back or maybe replaced ? China is from Germany and most likely so is paper mache doll . If she is composition then 1920's to 40's . I wish thy had touch photo's so I could tell better . Maybe a larger close up . The first doll is from 1940-50 and is hard plastic was meant to be a display doll not a toy so much they came in fancy boxes but were dime store dolls made in USA often by companies like Molded Plastic Arts ect . Your real treasure is the China if she is not broke and shoulder plate is not chipped or cracked . So nice to have dolls handed down by your Grandmother to cherish . Hope this helped
The china doll has a cloth body, she is missing her left lower arm and right arm (composition or wood?) has some damage. Her face is flawless, hair missing a small amount of paint. The other paper mache doll has a cloth body, her lower arms are probably the same material as her face, they are in good condition except look dirty, but I'm afraid to clean them. her legs have like a socket, they are pose able, I think arms too. I don't know how to add more pictures.
Thank you for your help Manikin
Love your dolls-make sure you have the history pertaining to the dolls with them ..it ups the value...nice to have !
The China doll is very nice large size and there are replacement lower arms you can find on ebay . The head is most valuable and that she has her original body when so many are replaced is wonderful
