This is a vintage Telechron electric wooden alarm clock. This cool little piece is still in working condition. I dont know much about these I was hoping someone had some info on these clocks. I was hoping to find a era they were made in and if they are U.S.A. made. This clock is about 5x5 inches.

Telechron was made in Ashland, Massachusetts. Yours dates to the late 1940's. They use a field coil and "rotor" assembly to power the clock. They are very reliable clocks. Yours appears to be an alarm clock as well, but don't expect a dinging bell. Most likely it will make a disturbing loud buzz (sounds like it's shorting out). Sadly, the finish on yours has failed and would benefit from a redo to bring out the wood grain and inlay on the front.

You can buy a refrubished rotor for your clock. I have replaced three of mine and they run quietly. The rotors are garanteed for a year from date of purchase. The man's name is Dave Freeline, all you have to do is give him the model number of the clock (on the back on the little brass tag) if you don't want to open it up. And he will tell you what you need. Replacing the rotor is simple, You might have to unscrew four screws. What you need to know is that the knobs on the back of the clock unscrew counter clockwise (turn to the right, not to the left).
      Here is Dave's link.

Just noticed that the tag on your's is on the bottom and it is worn away. No problem your clock is Telechron model 7H139, it's marketing name was the "Talisman". They were made from 1946-49. The "H" after the seven means it uses an "H" type rotor.
