I wish I knew more about this item, it is a beautiful clock with a lovely dancing girl. I am not sure if it plays music but I would love to know more about this piece

Usually on the bottom there is a switch to turn on if there is music. Are you not allowed to turn it over, or remove from cabinet ?? To look for marks ?? Looks quite new.

I have one more or less the same but with the name "Peter"... http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/vintage-rare-1950s-wind-up-alarm-clock-with-musical-ballarina-by-peter-germany-/222449723884?hash=item33cb0969ec%3Ag%3AkCgAAOSw2gxYzq3G&nma=true&si=SuLsDBL2Nm92vYBQNRAyxN8p1us%253D&orig_cvip=true&rt=nc&_trksid=p2047675.l2557

It's made in Germany. On mine the ballerina spins around every half hour and it plays two tunes.

Mine looks more like yours rather than the one in that listing.
