I have not seen anything like this little jar or vase. Its about 4 inches tall and 5 inches wide and has 3 flared edges . I have not been able to ID the mark on the bottom either, a cross and, what looks to me, like the initials SG. I could be completely wrong about the initials and it could just be a decorative mark.
Let me know if you have any ideas.
