A second example of a vase posted earlier today by sklo42, this vase measures around 8" (20 cm) tall with a diameter of around 3 5/8" (9 cm). The bottom-up spatter is tactile as it blends into the smoothly cased orange.

To answer my own question I brought up on that post - this vase has a straight-line acid-stamped "Czechoslovakia" on the underside. Unfortunately I took my pictures early this morning indoors and the mark went unnoticed until I examined the piece outside after the sun came up.

OK - I get this outside in the sunlight and all my problems disappear.

Interesting, Harry, I don't remember a marked one ever having being found.......

Surprised me too - I've had this piece for a year or more and hadn't noticed the mark until yesterday when the light hit it just right.
