    Gottfried Voelker Soda Water Bottle
    1310 Jackson
    St. Louis, Missouri

Voelker was in the soda water business from 1870 to 1880
This bottle is from that time period.
Voelker had a partner in 1867 by the name of Stephen Zeisler.
One day I plan or hope to acquire a Voelker & Zeisler bottle for my collection.

Curious if you tumble your bottles? I wish I had a one.

Iggy, I do not have a tumble set up. I simply clean them with a mixture of soap & vinegar, or a product called barkeepers friend. Sometimes I get them in really good condition like the Voelker. (which may have been tumbled)? I have lots of bottles that could use the tumbling machine.

If there are no fine little scratches on the outside, or if any present all have a more rounded appearance (rather than a sharp cut, or, pictorially, a side-view U rather than a V), it may have been tumbled.

SpiritBear, with that being said, this bottle looks as though it had been tumbled. Thanks for the info!
