After Mom passed this year, I inherited all of hers and her Mother's jewelry. There is a bit of fine jewelry, albeit, inexpensive fine jewelry but more fascinating is the large amount of costume jewelry. 90% of the costume jewelry belonged to my Grandmother.
She was born in early 1900's, so any amount of jewelry that would have been accumulated to my way of thinking is likely from 30's to 70's (late). She seemed to LOVE brooches, Canadian Maple leaves, etc.
This is another brooch from her collection. I do see it stamped on the back with TRIFARI and briefly looked up the name. I have no idea what decade/era it was from. I do see there is one rhinestone missing :(
Thank you very much! I get excited if anything I own is older than me!! LOL..just teasing..kind of.
Wow, my grandmother REALLY loved her brooches!! I took a pic of another I almost posted but noticed it had Sarah Cov on the back and easily found a pic of the same Maple Leaf pin with glass pearl (and matching clip on earrings).
I'm enjoying getting to place them at certain times of her life (or my Mom's) and thinking of them wearing the pieces as they 'go out'
