Here's another mystery piece I found while sorting through boxes handed down from my family. I do know that it is very old.
This item is 2 1/4" x 1" x 1/2". It has some raised "squiggly" lines on the front side, and a money clip sort of piece on the inner side. The two caps on the bottom screw onto the bottom and the round ball is made into the piece. There are also a couple of shiny aqua places on the "squiggly" lines on the front.
I have no idea what this is made of either or what it is for. Same situation as the first item I've shown.
If anyone has ever seen any like this or knows what it is or what it is for, please let me know.

Well? Seems to be made like a hair clip but with screw backs, Maybe it could be attached to a curtain via the screws and hold a tassel or tie back with the clip?
guess I'll have to check back to find out just what it is, Then it will be obvious.
Different that's for sure. I thought it looked like a hairclip in the middle too. Valentino is probably right!
