I have this original Vendo 81-c. Any thoughts on value? I know they are very rare.

This is a great antique coca-cola machine! You should check out the Collector's Weekly resources on the Coca-Cola Machines page. You can find interviews with vintage coca-cola collectors and websites that Collector's Weekly find most useful.

I've seen this listed on ebay and craigslist already...with a price tag of $3,500. This is not a rare machine and in this condition, you're lucky to get $300 for it.
Have it restored, than the value would be there. I, myself, would do the same, but keep it for my own enjoyment.
bad ass !
One of those items that looks more nostalgic, in the rust.
not worth a whole lot in this condition and to rstore it to the way it should be will cost a but load but you can save a lil cash by up gradeing to haveing it dispence 20 oz bottles ive seen this done they are awesome
Wow! Big Collector can't say I have seen the 81 / C. I wish I had one! Where did you find it?
I am one of those "purists" that prefer the patina of a beat up machine. I think it tells a story, or two or a thousand!
Keep this and cherish it. At least, I would. Good Find!!

It would be cool, as bigrob31 suggested, to see if you could have the larger bottles...preferably the Mexican medio litro's (available in most Latino groceries). If you live in an area with a large Latino population (I lived in Tampa), you can get the 16.9 oz. bottles from Honduras or Nicaragua, made with sugar and much smoother than even the Mexi-Coke. Good luck!!
