Hi everyone,
I was attracted to this vase by its unusual colours and 'tissue paper' like look of them, plus its frilly top.
It's a rather unusual shape too, with a deep bowl.
I'd love to know more about it, if anyone can say.
I would guess it's possibly Bohemian, but, not having seen this shape or colour combination before, I really don't know.
Comments are always welcome.
Thank you.
A Big Thank You to Sklo42 for attributing Welz and explaining why :)
That's wonderful. Thank you Peggy.
Nice one Fran. I'd say that's a Welz décor, Welz feet and a Welz rim shape!
Thank you nutsabotas, I agree with you :)
Hi Peggy, how exciting! I didn't realise this rim shape or feet are associated with Welz, it's the first vase I have with such a rim. Although, this time, I did wonder if it could be Welz, not because of the rim or feet but because of the 'tissue' like look of the spatter. It does seem to be one of their 'looks' but I hadn't seen it in this combination of colours. Thank you! :)
Fran does this mean bidding wars in the UK for Welz between you and Peggy! NOOOOOO.......
Gorgeous stuff and there seems to be plenty to go around :)
It's lovely!
Hi Karen, I believe we have clashed a few times. Ian's another one. If only I was the only person in the UK who likes Bohemian glass, I'd be laughing :)
Thank you IronLace, I agree :)
We never fall out tho! :-)
This one is a beaut!
This is a little beauty Fran... I love the last pic, it really shows off that fantastic shape!
How exciting for you...I'm happy about it and it's not even mine!!! ;) Wow and I love, love the colors too. Very clean looking! Great eye.
Hi Ian, At the end of the day it's just glass, it'd be daft to fall out over that:) I'd be lucky not to have any competition, if not you or Peggy, it's very rare I'm an only bidder.
Thank you shareurpassion, I get excited about glass I see here all the time...I wish it was mine, lol.
Thank you Rick55, appreciate the love:)
